Estimates

Cost $150

A site estimate is for customers who already have a new pool or those looking for help with an existing pool issue; liner replacement etc. A site estimate is when Alkaline Pools will meet you at the potential jobs site, prepare you with estimated costs, answer questions, and address potential concerns. This is the first step in proving our customers with important information to help deter costly mistakes. The Site Estimate fee is refunded if we are hired for the service.

Excavation

Cost $1,100 (Round)

Cost $1,250 (Oval)

Normal excavation depth for an above ground pool is 4" to 6" below the flat ground surface. This new laser leveled depth allows for the mason sand and pavers to be set below the flat surface so the sand doesn't leak out from underneath the bottom of the pool.

Up to a 1 Foot depth dig is Included from the lowest point of flat ground into the slope. There is a $15 per Inch fee for digs greater than 1 foot - up to 3 feet.
Materials Included: Equipment, Up to 3 tons of Mason Sand and Stone Pavers and root killer

Backfilling

To install an above-ground pool, excavate an area more significant than the pool’s frame. Typically, we need to excavate 1 to 3 feet beyond where the pool’s framework will sit.

The area between the pool frame and the area excavated must be filled in after the pool is full. Most of the time, the entire area is filled back to grade, but a minimum of 6 inches must be filled to protect the pool from losing sand over time due to water getting underneath the pool’s frame. This is the homeowner’s responsibility, but we offer this as a service.

Note- Your pool must be filled and grounded before us or anyone backfilling the pool.

Included – We will come back out and fill in the gaps between the pool and the excavated hole based on how you would like it done. We will get as close to being ready for landscaping as possible. We will use the dirt removed from the area during the excavation.

Not Included – We only bring in new material(dirt) if necessary, and then there would be material and delivery costs.

We do not move any dirt that may be left from the excavation that wasn’t needed to complete the backfilling. If you’d like us to grade out or move the excavation pile to a new location on the property, please see our GRADING OR MOVING EXCAVATION PILE oﬀered service section for details.

We do not fix damage to the yard made during the installation or backfilling process.

Pool Equipment

Install all of your new pool equipment is included in the pool installation cost.

For an additional fee, we can "Hard Plumb" the pool equipment with thick PVC pipe. This replaces all of the cheap flex hoses that will crack and leak over time. In addition we will add a "turn off valve" and "start up" the pool equipment with CULATER 1.0 PLUS hard metal eliminator for a more clear and healthy pool start up. The CULATER 1.0 Plus is a heavy metal and stain eliminator that will last 3-4 months. This revolutionary product simply floats in the skimmer.

Replace Liner

We highly recommend having a site estimate done if you have any concerns over anything that may prevent us from doing the liner change on the scheduled day. Examples are but are not limited to: Rusting of walls, Decks built in a way that they may interfere with the pool being taken apart, or the wall of your pool partly collapsing.

We do sell new liners. Our premium beaded virgin vinyl liners with hook technology are 25 ga. Image san be texted so you can see the liner.

We do not dispose of the old liner. We will cut up into pieces for your easy disposal.
We do not repair old liners
We do not hook up pre-existing old equipment and are not responsible for leaks.
We do not repair damaged walls
We will redo the floor of the pool. We will remove roots, fill in divots and add sand as needed. If your pool is oﬀ level or if the bottom of your pool is out of level, we do not attempt to fix that.
We will add sand to create a smooth, consistent surface under your liner.
We will begin to fill the pool, remove as many wrinkles as possible and cut in/ install your skimmer to the pool. In most cases, we use a shop vac to remove the wrinkles and try to remove them all, but creases and small wrinkles can still be present depending on how the liner is seamed together. For this reason, we do not guarantee a wrinkle-free bottom

We provide a complete check list for the home-owners. It includes your responsibilities so your pool is prepared for our arrival.

For safety, all pools should be bonded, a lot of areas require it. If you have questions, you should check your local requirements. The process requires running a copper wire around the entire perimeter of the pool, bonding to necessary points of the pool, using a water bond, and bonding to the pump.

Note- This must take place before a pool is backfilled.

Included- All the materials required to ground and bond your pool.

Not Included- We are not electricians; we cannot run electric or gas lines. You still need a professional to do this for you.

Mineral Systems

$500 AT NEW POOL INSTALL (Includes the Lion Mineral Ionizer).

$1000 EXISTING POOL INSTALL (Includes the Lion Mineral Ionizer)

First there were chlorine pools, then came saltwater pools, now there are MINERAL POOLS! Mineral Ion system installed by Alkaline Pools is a GREAT way to swim. Mineral pools are more healthy and you can possibly help avoid many of the dangers associated with Chlorine. Our Mineral System will reduce Chlorine use by 80-90%.

Excavated dirt and trash

We will pile the excavated dirt within 25ft in any direction of the pool site. We will not move it further than that. We do place 4-6 inches of dirt around the bottom of the pool wall to prevent sand leakage. For pools that have a large backfill build into a slope, the customer is responsible for the backfilling. We can provide backfilling but it requires an additional charge.

All Boxes that the pool come in will be cut up and neatly put in a pile on your property in a location of your choice.

We do not remove fencing to access the yard. A 6' clearance is required for our equipment.

We do not do any electrical work (but can have an electrician reach out if you require one)

We do not do landscaping around the pool.

We do not completely fill the pool with water. We start the water and fill a few inches. As the complete process to fill a pool can take a 1/2 day or more. We do reach back out 3 days to make sure everything is going great in your new pool.

What to expect

Install dates

Install dates can change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, so we do not recommend taking time oﬀ work that cannot be easily rescheduled on short notice. We will give notice of any changes as soon as we realize there is an issue.

You will receive a call from us in the early evening(4 pm-6 pm) the day before your install date, and we will give you a time window to expect us the following day. Typical time windows are 7:30 am-9:30 am (Early job) and 12-2 pm (Afternoon job)

An average job

Bobcat and dirt

Alkaline Pools will use a bobcat or skid steer front end loader with rubber tracks to shuttle sand from a dump truck to the pool site. Normally 8+ trips are needed through the yard to complete the job.

DIRT

There is always more dirt removed and piled up than is expected. We can pile the dirt in any direction of the pool site up to 25 feet from the site. We cannot move it further than that. We have a couple of other services we oﬀer that you can look into regarding the dirt, but they are done at a later date if you are interested.

If you have a dump truck

If you have a dump truck or a dump trailer, we are not opposed to loading the truck or trailer for you as long as it can be done safely and if they can be near the pool site, but once we begin the excavation, we do not stop and wait for anything to get taken to a dump site no matter how close the dump location may be. Typically, we will load what you have one time, and after that, we will need an area within 25 feet to pile the remaining dirt.

Your responsibilities

Call 811

You are responsible for initially contacting OUPS at 811. This is the "Call Before You Dig" line. Depending on who answers the phone there, you may hear diﬀerent things like "the contractor needs to call, not the homeowner"; this is only partially accurate. Please tell them you want to "Start a ticket". They will ask you a series of questions, some of which we cannot answer. When you are done, they will give you a 9-digit ticket number. Please text your name, address, and ticket number to (239-375-7244; we will then call in and get added to the ticket. This is how both of us are protected during the excavation process.

You are responsible for our equipment

You are responsible for cleanup

We will cut up all pool boxes and put them neatly where you wish on the property.

We are installing a pool....There will be damage to the grass around the pool and possibly the path from the front to the back where the bobcat / dig equipment travels. We are not responsible to replace any damaged grass.

You are responsible for the cleanup around the pool area after the installation. This includes backfilling the pool, the remaining piled-up dirt, damage to the yard, and the disposal of the boxes the pool comes in.

We do put any dirt pile where you wish on the property up to 25' from the pool

Water delivery

WATER DELIVERY- (Only applies to homeowners that don't plan on using their water from a hose) We recommend you call and get quotes and choose the water hauler so you know what you are paying and they have information on your job. Please inform them this is a new installation and the expected install date. We cannot give out accurate times for the delivery of the water until the day of the installation. Please inform us of the hauler you are using when we arrive to install your pool, and we will contact the hauler and coordinate the delivery time then. If the hauler you have chosen needs a time frame, the best we can do is ballpark it the night before. If this is the case, please tell us when we call you in the evening the day before the installation, and we will give you our best estimate.
